Applicant Tracking: the New Kid in Town

by admin

Applicant tracking is a phrase that has many different connotations, depending on the recruiter you speak to. For older recruiters it has caused frustration and resentment. The changes that occurred were alien to those with little experience of technology and software. They have had to adapt in order to survive, but few utilise the software to the maximum.

For those at the other end of the spectrum, the early adapters, and younger professionals who do not know the recruitment industry prior to recruitment software, their tale is far more positive. The same issues that caused most grief for the older counterparts are no longer a concern. Scanning CV’s screening those that are not a good fit, ranking those that are, are activities that they have never had to deal with on a manual basis. They are left to deal with applicants who are deemed, by criteria set by themselves, have at least the basics that are required for the role.
